Example of Raw Food Meal Plans

Below are some basic meal plans for raw food:

Breakfast: Green or fruit smoothie with four-five cups of green vegetables and fresh fruit, two-three cups of water and ice. One raw egg can be optionally added.

Snack: Fresh fruits like pears, apples or oranges and raw nuts

Lunch: Green leafy vegetable-based large salad which should include three stalks from celery plant, two large-sized tomatoes, bell pepper (any color), and avocados. Sunflower seeds should be sprinkled on it. The dressing for the salad could be cold-pressed olive oil (very small amount) and/or orange juice freshly squeezed.

Snack: Three peaches or four cups of pineapple or berries.

Dinner: A spinach salad having baby spinach leaves, cucumbers, romaine lettuce, green onions, orange segments and tomatoes. A vegetable juice that is freshly made that has green vegetables as its main ingredient.

Evening snack or dessert: Ten raw walnuts or pecans, banana

Beverages: The amount of water that is desired, fruit and vegetable juices freshly squeezed and made.

It should be noted that the raw diet includes a lot of vegetables, fruit and the primary sources of protein are from seeds and nuts. There are high levels of calcium and iron in the green leafy vegetables. Carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins are provided from several different produces. Essential fats are provided in seeds, nuts, oils and avocados.
